Preview of our Halloween Costumes

At first Mark didn't want to wear a costume this year, but he came through in the end, what a HEART!! I am his hippie partner, but not shown in the picture!!

Haylie's costume is the cutest! She even has the cutest boots to match!!

Albie has wanted to be a witch ever since last year. We found this costume and thought it was perfect for her since she loves PINK!!!

RRRR!!!
And Garrett also has wanted to be a pirate since last year, oh wait, he was a pirate last year too!!
He just looks so cute!!!

Thanks Jill for having a Halloween party so my kids can wear their costumes more than once (who am I kidding, I love to dress up too and see all the other adult costumes!!)

Halloween Traditions

I remember when I was little around Halloween we would make sugar cookies in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts. It was always so fun. Since I've started a family of my own I've tried to do this every year. We even expanded our shapes into cats, witches broom, moons, tombstone, and of coarse pumpkins. The kids love this, don't worry, they have their own dough and they keep rooling out their own while I make the cookies that we give to people. Same with the frosting, the kids frost their own and then I will frost the others. If your kids are anything like mine, they like to lick their fingers alot, (the frosting is delicious!!)

Pumpkin Patch

Every year we try to go to the Pumpkin Patch at the Red Barn in Santaquin, this year was no different. I gathered the kids and headed down the road to the Red Barn. We met the Torres girls there and headed out on the wagon to find pumpkins. It was a great day, the sun was out andit was warm. The kids loved it!! Garrett had already gone to the Red Barn with his preschool class so he helped Haylie pick out her pumpkin. He is such a great big brother, he carried her's the whole way. We had a lot of fun!!!

Here are the kids hanging out at the Red Barn while we were waiting for the hay ride!

New background

Can I just say that I am so proud of myself. It only took me 3 days of all day long to figure out how to change my background!! When it comes to computers I am really quite stupid. Anyway, now that I know how to change the background, hopefully I will change every now and then. Enjoy!!

New Post......FINALLY

Garrett Turns 4!!!

I can't believe my little guy is already 4. Where does the time go?
I haven't been the best bloger since Garrett's birthday was back in
August and it has taken me this long to get a post on it. I will try to
do better. Garrett had a spiderman party, well he had his cousins over
for pizza, cake and ice-cream, but they got spiderman goodie bags, doesn't
that count as a spiderman party??? We really haven't been doing much since school is back in session, so there really isn't much to take pictures of. I will try to find little candid moments to had to the blog.

First Day of School

Albie just started first grade, and she loves it. She is quite the confident little girl. She marched in class all by herself and picked a seat. She ate school lunch and she said she loved it. I am so proud of her.

Garrett started preschool the next day and I have to say I wondered how he would do because he is quite shy, but he amazed me, he was so excited all day and kept asking when it was time to go to school. When I took him he walked in with his teacher very excited to be there. When I went to pick him up he came running and didn't stop talking and telling me about everything he had done. He loved it. I am so proud of my kids, now I need to figure out something for me and Haylie to do!!

Introducing Baby Luke

This is Luke Anthony Marostica. Proud parents are Jake and Kellie, and proud sisters are Asay and Samantha. Isn't he so cute? He weighed in at a woppin' 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 20 1/2ish long. Kellie said it went good, she wished the epidural worked a little better though. I'm sure there will be more photos to come!
He as already learned how to suck his thumb!

Arizona trip

Mark had a conference in Arizona for a week so the kids an I decided to go with him. We loaded up and left at 3:00 in the morning and made the drive. It actually wasn't too bad of a drive. the kids did really well, thanks Jill for letting us borrow your car DVD player!

I'm sure you all know that Arizona is HOT! Well, I didn't realize that even at 8:00 in the morning you would sweat just walking to the car. It wasn't too bad though, we spent our days in the pool or in air conditioned stores. We met up with our friends that live in Arizona and had dinner with them one night and then the kids and I went down the next day and spent the next day shopping and swimming in their pool. Thanks Catie and Colby, your place is very nice, thanks for keeping us cool for a couple of days!! The kids are still talking about how fun it was with their kids and wondering when we can go back!

I also was able to meet up with some family friends from when I was younger. It was fun catching up with the Holts and seeing how Arizona is in the summer. Everyone that I ran into kept telling up to come back and visit between October and May, we might have to try that sometime.

All the kids just became the best swimmers. Albie no longer needs a life jacket and does really well swimming across the pool. Garrett was a cannonball maniac. It took him a couple of days to get use to it, then he was jumping in and swimming all over the pool all by himself. Haylie even would jump in and swim to me then turn around and sim back to the steps, of course she had her life jacket on.

When we weren't swimming we were trying to find some place with air conditioning. HAve any of you heard of Dave & Busters? It is so fun it is like a Chuck-E-Cheese but for adults. You eat dinner there and then you can play different arcade games and they even had a bowling alley. We played here a couple of nights when Mark would get home. The kids absolutely loved it, I enjoyed it too becuase it was located in a strip mall, so I would go shopping while Mark took the kids there to play. It was so much fun! So it was hot and dry, but we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who let us come and visit. I feel like I could get around the Pheonix area pretty well now!

Orchard Days

Can I just say that I have never done a children's parade before, after that said, Albie wanted to go and she wanted to decorate all of their bikes for it. Look really close in the picutres, Albie's has a few crape paper strings hanging from her bike; Garrett's spiderman fourwheeler has crape paper wrapped around the handles; and Haylie's wagon was the firt one done so it has a few more strings hanging on it. The parade lasted two blocks long, but the kids ( I should say Albie) loved it!

Albie wanted to dress up in her cheerleader costume for the ride!

Since Albie was a cheerleader Garrett wanted to be a football player, but he didn't want to wear his helmet so who really knew what he was dressed up as. We had charged the battery to the fourwheeler the night before, but when it came time for the parade it really wouldn't work so Garrett hopped in the wagon with Haylie.

We rode the two blocks and then had popcycles at the park. Thanks to the five people who sat along the parade route to cheer on the kids in the parade!

Tuttle Campout

Sorry, I don't know how to post a lot of pictures in the order that I want them; anyways, this is Grandpa and Scott helping with all the fish that we caught! Thanks, the kids loved it!

Jill is always the creative one and she brought stuff to tie-dye shirts for the kids, they loved it. It was so much fun to see th edifferent creations that you can make; not two shirts looked the same. Way fun Jill, thank you so much!!

The finished product! Aren't the shirts so cute!!

I think the kids favorite part was riding the rino and the fourwheelers! I know that every second Garrett was trying to get someone to take him for a ride on the "Blue" fourwheeler. Albie and mom loved the rino. Haylie would take her naps when you would take her for a ride, and Mark I think wants to get one for himself.

The annual Tuttle campout this year was in Fairview, it was so much fun. All but one of my dad's siblings were there, everyone in our family except Kellie and Tracey, and then my cousin Eric and his kids were there. We had a lot of fun. I think the best part is the food, you can't beat dutch oven food, thanks dad and brothers! We started off without Mark, I was braving tent camping with the three kids, Mark was gone to Idaho for the week for work. On Friday afternoon we were getting ready to tie-dye shirts and Mark showed up out of the middle of nowhere. What a surprise!!! We were so excited!

We went fishing the first morning and the fish were biting good! Rainbow sparkle powerbait was the best. As soon as the kids were put their poles in the water a fish would be caught. We kept grandpa busy loading the poles! I think every kid caught at least one fish!

When it was Garrett's turn he decided he didn't want to reel it in, mom got to help him!

When it was Albie's turn to reel her's in she said it was too hard, so mom stepped in again to help reel it in, you would have thought the the fish in this lake were huge by the way they tugged on the poles, but when you brought them out of the water they were little minnos. Still, so much fun for the kids!

Even Haylie was able to reel in a fish with the help of Ashlee, thanks! Haylie loved every part of fishing, she even wanted to touch her squirmy fish after she caught it, that was the cutest thing ever, she touched it then jumped back, so cute!!

The successful day of fishing couldn't of been possible without the help of Grandpa and Uncle Scott! Thank you so much, too bad the second day of fishing we didn't catch a thing!!

Great Scenery at the Golf Coarse

The Golf pro at work, he's the best thing to look at.

We ran into a few friends at the coarse. We saw about 5 deer. The kids thought that was just so cool to see all the deer.

This was my favorite scenery. Out of the middle of nowhere we see this little boy peeing, Where are his parents!!?? (Like father like son, I didn't think I should post the picture of Mark doing this.)

Family Night

The kids have been asking Mark to take them golfing for the longest time and he agreed to take them if we all went for family night. The kids had a blast and they had the best teacher. Mark was so good with them, he was teaching them how to stand, how to hold their clubs, we all had a great time.

Here is Albie showing off her great putting. With Mark being so into golf he got the kids their own clubs. Albie's, of coarse, are pink!

Garrett didn't quite get the hand of holding the clubs the right way, but he sure had a great time. We couldn't find Garrett's clubs, so yes, he is using Albie's pink clubs. He didn't want to use "girl" clubs, but if he wanted to play he had to use them, so he got off his "boys can't use girl stuff" kick and played with the pink golf clubs.

Haylie loved the scenery. She rode in the cart with mom and just loved being outdoors.

Here is me and Haylie watching from the golf cart. I did hit on th efirst hole, bu tmy first hit my ball got lost in the trees and Mark didn't bring any more balls so I was out of luck. It was still so much fun spending time with the family enjoyin gthe outdoors.

Swimming Lessons

The kids had swimming lessons for the past two weeks, they started at the old Payson pool and then got to finish at the new Payson pool. The kids loved it. Albie is the best little swimmer, she now can swim a little bit by herself. I am so proud of her!
Here she is doing her back float!

Here is Garrett doing "motorboat", it was his favorite.

Haylie was just so happy to go to the pool everyday for two weeks. She only tried diving in the pool twice!
