Fun Run 4 Kids

The Torres girls and Albie, Garrett and myself all decided to fun in a fun run 4 kids fundraiser race. Albie and Mailee were talking about it for weeks and had to do their training. Albie would go outside and run around the house to get ready for the race. Leesa and myself ran in a 5K first thing in the morning. We were a little nervous because we only trained two different days and that was two weeks ago, but we were able to do it and ran in at 31 minutes. We thought that was pretty good. Following our race the kids races began. Auja ran first, she had to run 100 yards. She wanted Leesa to hold her the whole time, so she wasn't able to finish. Garrett was next, he ran 1/4 mile. He was great I ran with him, and he was passing people like crazy. When he got done he wanted to do it again. Albie and Mailee ran next and they had to run 1/2 mile, which was two laps. Albie said she only wanted to run one lap, but she did it and did great. Finally the older girls Tia and Necia ran. they were duppose to run 1 mile, but after they finished the judge man said they had miscalculated and they actually ran 1.47 miles. Tia was the first girl to cross and Necia took 3rd for her age. They all did great, the kids seemed to have a lot of fun and said they want to do it again next year, maybe we can talk Mark into doing it with us next year!!

Hogle Zoo

Albie had her 1st field trip on friday, her Kindergarten class went to Hogle Zoo. We were able to meet her there and then she was able to come home with us. The kids loved it. Garrett loved the penguins and the train ride, Albie loved the monkeys and elephants. Mark and Haylie loved it all. My favorie part was spending time with the whole family. You'll have to check out the zoo when you can't think of anything to do.

St George

I know this is late, but we went to St. George a few weeks ago with the family, it was a blast. We spent most of the time in the pool. The kids are water ducks!!! Garrett wanted one of those body boards, but he would call it his snow board. He was so cute. He is a maniac in the water, as long as it is the baby pool. (I don't think he ever got in the big pool!) Albie and HAylie couldn't get enough. It was so fun!!

Stadium of Fire Tickets

I'm excited to say that I was able to get 4 Stadium of Fire tickets this year to see Miley Cirus!! My wonderful sister-in-law, Katie, was able to get me the tickets. We went out of town the weekend they went on sail so I left my order for Katie to get if she could, and she was able to get 10 tickets!! Yeah!! Anyway, I thought since July 4th is Albie's birthday she would love to see Hannah Montana in person!! So, that means we will have to do Albie's birhday a little different this year!! We will still have a blast, but I wanted to let you know that we got tickets!!

Soccer!

Albie started spring soccer this past week. She had her first game on Tuesday. She looked so cute in her uniform with shin guards and cleats. she definately was the cutest soccer player out there. Her team lost, but they seemed to have a great time.

Haylie's Walking!!

Just a couple fo days after we got home from Florida, Haylie started walking all over the place. For the last month she had been taking a few steps here and there, but now she has to walk all over. She is a little wobbly, but when she falls she quickly gets back up and takes off again. She walks with a little attitude, if you've seen her crawl (she sways her head back and forth) she walks the same way. I think she is going to be a little diva! We are so proud of her for being able to walk. It only took her 15 months!!!

Second Honeymoon

We ate at a place on the beach called "Le Tub" It was on Oprah's 25 best places to eat last year. It was decorated with toilets and tubs; it was kind of crazy, we had to wait an hour for our food, but it was really good!

Mark and I were able to go to Florida for a whole week without kids (thanks mom!) Citi Financial sent us out there for Mark's work. We had a great time. Our hotel was right on the beach, it was a 5 star hotel and it was beautiful!. We spent our days soaking in the sun by the pools and shopping a little. It was a lot of fun. The only bad part of the trip was the day we came home. We were suppose to land in SLC at 10:30 am and instead we got home at 11:30 pm. Let's just say we were glad to be home. the kids didn't even miss us Albie and Garrett said they wanted to sllep at Grandma's for 100 nights!! Thanks again mom, I know they were taken really good care of.
